This is my latest hybrid design; it was
inspired by the super short single fins
of the late 70’s. The Eggo has typical
retro-fish rocker and volume with a beaked
nose and full rails, but I’ve pulled
in the tail and added a thruster set-up.
Pulling the tail helps the board turn
vertically and on the rail, more like
a normal shortboard, while the full nose
outline and low entry rocker allow this
board to plane quickly making it a wave
catching monster. The thruster set-up
lets you push the tail harder for a solid
feel with loads of drive. The bottom is
flat with a bit of vee off the tail making
it very fast and skatey.
