Cross Over...
If you're young, Kent's name may not ring
a bell, but your folks might remember him. He's
been referred to as one of the grandfathers of
pool skating and back in the late seventies he
rubbed elbows with Dogtown's finest on a regular
basis. He's had cover shots, interviews, signature
model skate decks, and even starred in the classic
Hal Jepson movie Skateboard Madness. Through
all his skating accomplishments, Kent reflects,
"I was always a surfer first and a skater second."
Kent knows there is an undeniable connection
between surfing and skating. He also believes
that cross training with skateboarding can increase
your muscle memory and surfing fitness, as well
as being a great way to improve your style and
technique through repetition.
